We've Nearly Reached Our Goal!

As of the beginning of of 2016, we need only a little over $2,000 to enable us to provide books, school supplies and mentoring to  250 underserved children in one of Kenya's poorest areas.

Won't you do what you can to help?

For as little as $10 you can supply school kits to 25 children.

For a one-time $50 donation you will provide a mentor for the most at risk children.

A donation of only $10 a month  will support FIVE teachers and through them you will touch the lives of over 200 students.

Please click on our PayPal site to donate directly, or use our partner site Global Giving to explore more options.

A Cup of Coffee

$5.00

For the price of one cup of coffee a month from your favorite bodega, you can provide books, pencils, paper and no small amount of comfort to over 200 children who can't even afford these basic items. Make coffee at home just 12 times a year and this donation doesn't cost you a penny, plus it's tax deductable.

Pair of Off Brand Shoes

$50.00

I'm NOT going to tell you that you don't need a new pair of shoes. No, no, no. But I am willing to bet there's a pair in the back of a closet somewhere that you haven't worn in a long time. (This applies to gentlemen as well.) Heck, they might even be back in style again. No? Well maybe next year then.  The point is for one pair of shoes that rarely see the light of day anymore, we provide a comprehensive mentoring program for the most at-risk children in the Ruaraka Slum. This means youths who've had very few breaks in life will receive life skill counseling, learn to access community resources, learn the consequences of early pregnancy, drug use and increase their coping skills to better handle life's challenges.

Can you wait just until there's  a 2 for 1 sale? Would you mind terribly sending us the difference?

A Gift in the Name of a Loved One

$25 to $300

In a bind trying to buy something for the person who has everything? Send us a donation in the name of a loved one along with their details (see our contact page) and we will keep them abreast of how their donation is being put to good use.

Don't have any loved ones? Then send us the name of someone who annoys you terrifically (along with the details of what makes them this way) and we will customize our thank you letters to him/her accordingly.  Letter frequency will depend on depth of annoyance and size of the donation.
